There is / there are: el "hay" inglés
El inglés no: usa THERE IS para singular y THERE ARE para plural. La fórmula: There is + a/una cosa; There are + varias cosas.

- There is a park near my house. (Hay un parque.)
- There is some milk in the fridge. (Hay algo de leche: singular/incontable).
- There are two schools in my town. (Hay dos escuelas: plural).
- Contracciones: There’s a problem. / There aren’t any banks here. (there is → there’s; there are not → there aren’t).
