| Episodio | Texto | Función |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | It was a normal Tuesday in October and the sun was shining. | Fondo: descripción con continuous |
| 2 | Students were crossing the street and vendors were selling tacos outside. | Fondo: varias acciones paralelas |
| 3 | My friend Ana was telling me about a film she had seen. | Fondo con un hecho anterior |

| 8 | In the end, the principal gave us a second date, so the day finished well. | Cierre con conector |
3. La forma
el past simple se forma con la segunda forma del verbo y no necesita auxiliar en afirmativa. el past continuous usa was o were más el verbo con -ing. en negativo e interrogativo el pasado simple pide did, y el verbo vuelve a su forma base. was es para I, he, she e it; were es para you, we y they.
| Tipo | Estructura | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | sujeto + pasado (2.ª forma) | The truck stopped at the gate. |
| Negativa | sujeto + did not + forma base | The driver didn’t open the door. |
| Pregunta | Did + sujeto + forma base? | Did you see the accident? |
| Respuesta corta | Yes, I did / No, she didn’t | No, we didn’t. |
| Tipo | Estructura | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | sujeto + was / were + -ing | We were waiting outside. |
| Negativa | sujeto + wasn’t / weren’t + -ing | She wasn’t listening to me. |
| Pregunta | Was / Were + sujeto + -ing? | What were you doing at eight? |
| Respuesta corta | Yes, he was / No, they weren’t | Yes, they were. |
Choose the correct negative: They ___ the accident.
Choose the correct form: At nine last night I ___ a documentary.
Choose the correct question: ___ when the truck arrived?

| Suena | Condición | Ejemplos |
|---|---|---|
