What is assertive communication?
Assertive communication means you say what you think and need in a calm and respectful way. You do not stay quiet, and you do not shout. You use phrases like "I think...", "I feel...", "Can we...?", and you also listen to the other person.
Read a short dialogue
A: "I feel worried about the group project. We still have no plan." B: "You are right. I think we can divide the work today." A: "Good idea. Can we agree who does each part?" B: "Yes. Let's talk and choose together."
